Lucid Has 4 Accounts. Here’s the One I’d Pick

Thinking about trading with Lucid? Here’s my breakdown of every Lucid account, who they’re built for, and which one I’d personally choose.

Which Lucid Account Would I Actually Choose?

One thing I’ll give Lucid credit for…

They don’t just offer one account and call it a day.

Right now, Lucid has multiple paths depending on what type of trader you are:

  • Lucid Pro
  • Lucid Flex
  • Lucid Direct
  • Lucid Maxx (invite-only)

And honestly, that’s where a lot of traders get confused.

Because every affiliate says:

“THIS IS THE BEST ONE!”

But the truth is each account is built for a different type of trader.

Lucid Flex

This is probably the account most traders think of when they hear “Lucid.”

And honestly?

It’s the one I see recommended the most.

The setup is simple:

  • Pass an evaluation
  • Move into a funded account
  • No funded consistency rule
  • No daily loss limit
  • 90% profit split
  • End-of-day trailing drawdown

What I like about Flex is that once you’re funded, the rules mostly get out of your way.

That’s a big deal.

A lot of firms make you keep proving yourself even after passing.

Lucid Flex doesn’t.

The biggest downside is the 50% consistency rule during evaluation. If you’re the type of trader who has one monster day, it can slow you down.

Who I Think Flex Is For

  • News traders
  • NQ traders
  • Momentum traders
  • Traders who hate daily loss limits
  • Anyone looking for the most balanced account Lucid offers

Lucid Pro

Lucid Pro is the more structured account.

Think of it as Lucid’s version of a traditional evaluation.

What stands out:

  • Evaluation account
  • Structured consistency requirements
  • Daily loss controls
  • 100% of the first $10,000 in payouts, then 90/10 split
  • Fast path to funding available on some account sizes

This account feels more “professional” and less aggressive than Flex.

Some traders actually prefer that.

Not everybody wants maximum freedom.

Some people trade better when there are guardrails.

Who I Think Pro Is For

  • Newer traders
  • Consistency-focused traders
  • Traders who prefer more structure
  • People who want the first-$10k payout benefit

Lucid Direct

This is where things get interesting.

Lucid Direct skips the evaluation entirely.

You pay more upfront and start trading for payouts immediately.

Sounds amazing, right?

Well there are tradeoffs.

Because you’re skipping the evaluation, Lucid tightens some of the payout requirements and consistency expectations. Direct accounts are known for stricter payout consistency rules compared to Flex.

The biggest benefit is obvious:

You can literally start working toward payouts on day one.

Who I Think Direct Is For

  • Experienced traders
  • Traders who hate evaluations
  • People confident in their strategy
  • Traders willing to pay more for speed

If you’ve passed 20 prop firm accounts already, Direct starts looking really attractive.

Lucid Maxx

This one is different.

Most traders can’t even get it.

Lucid Maxx is currently invite-only and designed for traders who have already proven themselves inside the Lucid ecosystem.

From everything I’ve seen, Maxx is basically Lucid’s VIP tier.

The perks reportedly include:

  • No consistency rules
  • No daily loss limits
  • Daily withdrawals
  • Premium payout structure
  • Faster scaling opportunities

The catch?

You don’t just buy it.

You earn your way into it.

So Which Lucid Account Is Best?

Here’s the answer nobody likes:

It depends.

I know that’s boring.

But it’s true.

If You’re New

I’d probably tell you to start with Lucid Pro or Lucid Flex.

They’re cheaper and give you time to prove your strategy.

If You’re Already Profitable

I’d seriously look at Lucid Direct.

Why waste time on an evaluation if you’re confident in your edge?

If You’re Looking Long-Term

I’d probably choose Lucid Flex.

For most traders, I think it’s the sweet spot.

You get:

  • No daily loss limit
  • No funded consistency
  • 90% payouts
  • Fast payouts
  • A clear path toward Lucid Maxx

Editor Opinion

If I had to rank them today:

1. Lucid Flex
2. Lucid Pro
3. Lucid Direct
4. Lucid Maxx (because most traders can’t get it anyway)

And honestly, I think Flex wins by a pretty wide margin.

The reason is simple:

Once you’re funded, it feels like you’re actually trading.

Not constantly managing prop firm rules.

For me, that’s what makes a great prop account.
