Which BluSky Plan Is Right for You?

BluSky offers more than one path to funding. Here’s my breakdown of every plan and which type of trader each account fits best.

Breaking Down Every BluSky Account

BluSky has quietly become one of the more interesting prop firms in the futures space.

A lot of firms give you one or two choices.

BluSky gives you several.

At first, that can actually be overwhelming.

You’ve got:

  • Launch
  • Propel Premium
  • Propel Static
  • Orbit
  • Instant Sim Funded

So which one should you actually choose?

The answer depends on what kind of trader you are.

Let’s break them down.

Launch Plans

If you’re brand new to prop firms, this is probably where I’d tell you to start.

The Launch plans were designed to keep the upfront cost low while still giving traders a clear path to funding.

I like these because they’re simple.

You’re not trying to game the system.

You’re just trying to prove you can trade consistently.

If you’re still learning risk management or this is your first prop firm, Launch is a great place to begin.

Best For:

  • New traders
  • Traders on a budget
  • First-time prop firm users

Propel Premium

This is probably the account that will appeal to the most traders.

Why?

Because it feels balanced.

You get:

  • EOD trailing drawdown
  • 90% profit split
  • No activation fee
  • Daily payouts once funded

The evaluation also has a lower consistency requirement than the Launch plan, which gives traders a little more flexibility.

If somebody asked me which BluSky evaluation I’d recommend to the average trader…

This would probably be it.

Best For:

  • Most futures traders
  • Swing traders
  • Traders looking for a long-term prop firm

Propel Static

Not everybody likes trailing drawdown.

I get it.

Some traders simply perform better knowing their drawdown never moves.

That’s exactly why BluSky created the Static plans.

Instead of worrying about your drawdown following your profits, you know exactly where your line in the sand is.

For traders who struggle with trailing drawdowns, this can make a huge difference psychologically.

Best For:

  • Traders who prefer static drawdown
  • Conservative traders
  • Traders who hate trailing drawdowns

Orbit

This is probably the coolest plan BluSky offers.

Orbit was built for experienced traders.

The biggest reason?

No consistency rule during the evaluation.

That means if your strategy catches a huge move, you don’t have to worry about one day making up too much of your profits.

If you hit the target, you can pass incredibly fast.

I’ve noticed more firms are trying to speed up funding.

Orbit feels like BluSky’s answer to that trend.

Best For:

  • Experienced traders
  • Momentum traders
  • Traders who want the fastest route to funding

Instant Sim Funded

Not everybody enjoys evaluations.

Some traders would rather pay more and start funded immediately.

That’s exactly what Instant Sim Funded is for.

You skip the evaluation and go straight into a funded-style account.

You also get:

  • Daily payout eligibility
  • 80% profit split
  • Up to three accounts
  • No evaluation pressure

If you’ve passed multiple prop firm challenges before, this option starts looking pretty attractive.

Best For:

  • Experienced traders
  • Traders tired of evaluations
  • Traders who value speed

So Which BluSky Plan Would I Recommend?

Honestly I don’t think there’s one “best” account.

I think there’s a best account for you.

If you’re new I’d probably point you toward Launch.

If you’re the average futures trader I’d lean toward Propel Premium.

If you hate trailing drawdowns, go Propel Static.

If you’re confident in your strategy and want to get funded as fast as possible…

Take a hard look at Orbit.

And if you’ve already proven you can trade consistently and don’t want another evaluation…

One of the instant-funded options probably makes more sense.

That’s what I like about BluSky.

They didn’t build one account for everyone.

They built different accounts for different traders.

Editor Opinion

One thing I appreciate about BluSky is that they aren’t trying to force every trader into the same path.

Some traders need structure.

Some traders want speed.

Some traders hate evaluations.

Some traders love static drawdown.

BluSky has an option for all of them.

If I had to recommend one account to the average trader, it’d probably be Propel Premium because I think it offers the best balance of rules, payouts, and long term potential.

But honestly the biggest mistake you can make is buying an account that doesn’t match how you trade.

Choose the account that fits your style, and you’ll give yourself the best chance to succeed.

BluSky FAQs

The Launch plan is a great starting point because it keeps costs low while giving new traders a structured path to funding.

For most traders, Propel Premium is the sweet spot because it combines trader-friendly rules, a 90% profit split, and no activation fee.

Orbit is designed for speed and removes the consistency requirement during the evaluation, making it possible to pass much faster than traditional evaluations.

Yes. BluSky offers both Instant Sim Funded and Direct 2 Funded plans for traders who want to skip the evaluation process.

If you’ve already proven you can trade consistently, Orbit or one of BluSky’s instant-funded options are worth a serious look because they reduce the time between signing up and working toward payouts.
