Lucid Daily Account Breakdown
Our complete breakdown of Lucid Trading’s new Daily Evaluation accounts, including rules, payouts, and our top picks.
When I first saw Lucid release these Daily Evaluation accounts, I thought they had simply added another account type.
After digging into the rules, I realized they actually did something that I haven’t seen another futures prop firm do.
Instead of forcing every trader into the exact same evaluation, Lucid lets you build the account that fits your trading style.
Do you prefer End-of-Day drawdown?
Buy that version.
Want to save money and trade with Intraday drawdown?
Buy that version.
Like having a Daily Loss Limit because it protects you?
Choose that.
Hate Daily Loss Limits?
Turn it off.
That’s what makes these accounts different.

The Four Different Account Options
This is where Lucid separates itself.
Instead of one evaluation, you choose between four versions.
Option 1 — Intraday + Daily Loss Limit
This is the cheapest option.
It’s designed for traders who don’t mind having a Daily Loss Limit and would rather save money upfront.
Option 2 — Intraday + No Daily Loss Limit
You still get the lower-priced Intraday account, but without worrying about a Daily Loss Limit stopping your trading day.
For a lot of active NQ traders, this is probably the sweet spot.
Option 3 — End-of-Day + Daily Loss Limit
Now you’re paying a little more for an End-of-Day drawdown while still keeping the Daily Loss Limit.
This gives trades more room to breathe throughout the session.
Option 4 — End-of-Day + No Daily Loss Limit
This is the premium version.
It’s also the most expensive.
If you want maximum flexibility and hate restrictions, this is the account you’ll probably gravitate toward.
End-of-Day vs. Intraday Drawdown
This is the biggest decision you’ll make.
End-of-Day Drawdown
Your drawdown is calculated using your balance at the end of the trading day.
That means unrealized profits and losses during the session don’t constantly move your drawdown threshold.
Advantages:
- More forgiving
- Better for volatile markets
- Better for traders who hold winners
- Easier psychologically
Disadvantage:
- Costs more
Intraday Drawdown
Intraday drawdown updates throughout the day.
Your available drawdown changes as your account equity changes.
Advantages:
- Lower cost
- Great for disciplined scalpers
Disadvantages:
- Less room for trades to breathe
- Requires tighter risk management
Should You Turn On the Daily Loss Limit?
Lucid lets you decide.
DLL ON
The account is cheaper.
If you hit the Daily Loss Limit, you receive a soft breach. You simply stop trading for the rest of the session as long as your maximum loss limit hasn’t been violated.
This is actually a nice feature for traders who like having a built-in safety net.
DLL OFF
Costs a little more.
But you have complete flexibility.
Personally, if you’re an experienced trader, I think paying extra to remove the Daily Loss Limit is worth it.
Funded Account Rules
After passing the evaluation, things become much simpler.
Every funded Daily account includes:
- Daily payouts
- No consistency rule
- 90/10 profit split
- Free activation
- Minimum payout request of $500
- Positive net profit since your last payout required
One important thing to know:
Even if you passed using the End-of-Day evaluation, funded Daily accounts operate using an Intraday drawdown model.
Daily Payout Rules
Lucid’s payout system is straightforward.
To request a payout you must:
- Have at least $500 available.
- Stay above your required payout buffer.
- Have positive profit since your last payout.
Payout Buffers
The payout buffer equals:
Maximum Loss Limit + $100
Which works out to:
| Account | Buffer Balance |
|---|---|
| 25K | $26,100 |
| 50K | $52,100 |
| 100K | $103,100 |
| 150K | $154,600 |
Everything above that buffer is eligible for withdrawal, subject to Lucid’s payout rules.
Live Account Progression
Another feature I like is that Lucid doesn’t leave you trading simulated accounts forever.
Once you qualify for their live program, traders transition into live capital accounts that include:
- Daily payouts
- End-of-Day drawdown
- No Daily Loss Limit
- One live account for each qualifying funded account that has received at least one payout.
Who Is This Account Best For?
Buy Intraday + DLL if…
- You want the lowest cost.
- You’re disciplined with risk.
- You don’t mind stopping for the day if you hit your limit.
Buy Intraday + No DLL if…
- You’re an active scalper.
- You want lower pricing.
- You don’t like being shut down intraday.
Buy EOD + DLL if…
- You swing intraday.
- You like the forgiveness of EOD drawdown.
- You still want a built-in daily stop.
Buy EOD + No DLL if…
- You want the most flexibility.
- You don’t want unnecessary restrictions.
- You’re willing to pay more for the premium experience.
Editor Opinion
I honestly think Lucid nailed this.
Instead of telling traders, “Here’s your account, take it or leave it,” they said, “Build the account that matches how you trade.”
That’s smart.
Some traders are perfectly happy saving money with an Intraday account.
Others hate trailing intraday drawdowns and gladly pay extra for End-of-Day.
Some people actually like having a Daily Loss Limit because it protects them from revenge trading.
Others never want to see one.
Lucid lets you choose.
If I were buying one today, I’d personally go with End-of-Day Drawdown and No Daily Loss Limit. Yes, it’s the most expensive option, but I think the extra flexibility is worth it—especially if you’re trading volatile markets like NQ.
At OnlyPropFirms, that’s what makes these Daily accounts stand out. It’s not just another evaluation program. It’s one of the few futures prop offerings that lets you tailor the rules to your own trading style instead of forcing everyone into the same box.
